Improvement of safety and reliability for nuclear power, which is a base load electricity in Japan, should have the first priority due to severe accident in Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plants.

The major research area of our laboratory, the reactor physics, should be an academic area for the foundation of nuclear safety, since the reactor physics is responsible of the control of fission chain reaction. We are going to promote reactor physics researches that contribute to the highest nuclear safety. We are sincerely waiting for students and researchers who would like to join us and to promote the researches.
